Tiffany Adams is the founder and Senior Pastor of The Way Worship Center, a nondenominational church in West Columbia created as a ministry for the local LGBTQIA+ community. An honoree of the “Unsung Hero Award” from the SC Pride Movement, GLAAD (“Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation”) also named her “One of 6 South Carolinians Accelerating Acceptance for LGBT People.” Prior board service includes both SC Black Pride and SC Equality. Pastor Tiffany is the content creator of the “Fact vs Fiction” workshop, debunking the religious arguments surrounding homosexuality in scripture, presented at regional colleges and universities. Parts of her story are captured in GLAAD’s short documentary film entitled “GLAAD Presents: State of Change – South Carolina” which highlights the lives of LGBT people and allies living in the state. Screened locally at the Nickelodeon, Adams participated in the talk-back session in addition to speaking at other talk-backs pertaining to the LGBT community. She has also been involved in community efforts to aid the homeless.
