Conservation Conversation

Event •
Apr 21

Join the Palmetto Trail on Tuesday, April 21st, for their annual Conservation Conversation, an engaging panel discussion focused on the future of conservation, outdoor recreation, and natural resource stewardship in South Carolina.

This year’s panel features leadership from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources and the SC Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department. Together, they’ll explore how state and federal partners are working to protect our lands and waters, expand outdoor access, and strengthen conservation efforts across the state.

During the evening, the Palmetto Trail will also honor Raleigh West, Director of the South Carolina Conservation Bank, for his leadership and commitment to protecting South Carolina’s natural landscapes. He will be presented with the Anne Springs Close Conservation Award in recognition of his significant contributions to land conservation across the state.

Whether you’re a trail user, outdoor enthusiast, conservation advocate, or simply passionate about the future of South Carolina’s natural spaces, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.
