From visionary director Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things, The Favourite) comes Bugonia—a razor-sharp satirical black comedy and English-language remake of the South Korean cult classic Save the Green Planet!.

Starring Academy Award® winner Emma Stone, alongside Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone, the film follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap a powerful CEO (Stone), convinced she’s secretly an alien plotting Earth’s destruction.

Premiering in competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival and screening at top festivals worldwide—including Telluride, Busan, BFI London, and Beyond Fest—Bugonia has already been hailed as “bonkers entertainment” (Rotten Tomatoes, 93% Fresh) and a testament to Lanthimos’ signature blend of the absurd and the profound. With a score by Jerskin Fendrix (his third collaboration with Lanthimos) and produced by Ari Aster, Bugonia is a delirious mix of sci-fi, comedy, and biting social commentary.
