NOTE: This film is mostly in Arabic with English subtitles.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania (The Man Who Sold His Skin), The Voice of Hind Rajab is a harrowing and urgent docudrama that reconstructs the final hours of six-year-old Hind Rajab, a Palestinian girl killed during the Israeli invasion of Gaza. Told largely in real time, the film follows Red Crescent volunteers as they receive Hind’s desperate emergency call and struggle to reach her while she remains trapped in a car under active fire.

Premiering in Competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, the film was one of the most talked-about works of the year—earning a record-breaking 23-minute standing ovation and winning the Grand Jury Prize along with six additional honors. Praised for its formal rigor and moral force, the film has been widely recognized as a landmark of contemporary political cinema. It was selected as Tunisia’s official submission for Best International Feature Film at the Academy Awards, and received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Non-English Language Film.

Blending documentary fidelity with dramatic reconstruction, The Voice of Hind Rajab confronts audiences with the immediacy of lived tragedy, raising profound questions about responsibility, witness, and humanity. Widely acclaimed by critics for its unflinching approach and emotional precision, the film stands as a powerful act of remembrance—and a searing cinematic testament to real-world events that continue to shape our present.
