Femme Film Fest is The Nick’s annual celebration of films by and about women. Each year, we shine a light on bold, diverse stories that inspire, challenge, and connect our community. For 2026, our theme is Taking Up Space, honoring feminine voices and visions in spaces and professions traditionally dominated by masculine perspectives.

Through stories on screen and conversations off screen, Femme Film Fest 2026 expands the frame and uplifts creativity that challenges expectations, redefines boundaries, and claims its rightful place.

This will be the first year Femme Film Fest is accepting submissions! Submissions are welcome from filmmakers of all identities, as long as the work is female-driven or female-focused. We especially encourage submissions from regional and local filmmakers. Submissions are $20.

Submissions are open until December 15, notifications will go out to filmmakers February 15. Submit now below!
