Some Kind of Hate: A Night of Supernatural Happenings

Part of our Staff Picks series. Picked and presented by Alice Maenad

Director: Adam Egypt Mortimer

A bullied teenager is sent to a reform school where he accidentally summons the spirit of a girl, herself a victim of bullying, who takes vengeance on his tormentors.

A night of supernatural happenings

Alice Lith brings on friends from Devil's Playground and Infinite Room to summon the Mind's Eye Academy, the New Age reform school from the world of the film, who will present this screening. There's been a change in management and direction after the unfortunate events presented in the film.

Mind's Eye Academy aims to address any criticisms regarding past mismanagement, and will offer a special performance/meditation on the cleansing of anger before the film. We must realign ourselves with Earth and Sky, and when better than during a full moon in Leo and a lunar eclipse? A talkback with co-writer/director Adam Egypt Mortimer, also hosted by the Mind's Eye Academy, will follow.
