Program Description

Looking for something fun and creative for the kids to do this Summer and during Spring Break? If you have an aspiring auteur in your family our Film and Media Camp programs could be for you! Our day camps teach students the basic techniques of video production through producing narrative shorts & stop motion animation films & short docs to be screened at the Nick at the conclusion of the camp!

Camp Notes:
Children are to be dropped off at the Nickelodeon Theatre (1607 Main St) at 9 AM. You will have to sign in. Pick up is at 1 PM, and whoever is picking up a student needs to come inside and sign their kid out.
There will not be a designated lunch, so your student is welcome to bring lunch, but we will be providing ample snacks, including fruits, vegetables, grains, and sweets.

Stop-Motion Animation Camp

Join us for a two-week summer camp where we learn all about stop-motion animation!

Camp dates: June 19-30
Time: 9am-1pm
Final Public Screening: July 01 at 12pm
Price: $500 per student
Ages: 8-12

Guided by stop motion animation super star Lillian Burke, campers will conceptualize, write, story board, shoot, edit, and soundtrack a short film of their own. Their final film will be screened at the Nickelodeon for friends, family, and the general public.

Teen Film Camp: Narrative Storytelling

Join us for a two-week summer camp where we learn all about how to create a narrative short!

Camp dates: July 10-21
Time: 9am-1pm
Final Public Screening: July 22 at 12pm
Price: $500 per student
Ages: 13-17

Local creators will provide students an introduction to the basics of filmmaking, teaching them to collaborate and tell their stories visually. Through the stages of writing, shooting, and editing, students will work together to harness their creative energies and create a collection of narrative shorts. The two week camp will culminate in a screening at the Nickelodeon of the students' final work.
