Featuring Jennifer Lopez in the role that made her a star, Academy Award-nominated Writer/ Director Gregory Nava’s 1997 biopic follows the life of Tejano music superstar Selena Quintanilla Perez.  Beloved and celebrated to this day, Selena remains a pop icon and fashion inspiration (in 2016 M.A.C. cosmetics released a top-selling Selena line) who is honored annually with the music festival “Fiesta de la Flor” in Corpus Christi, Texas. The film was met with critical praise at the time of it release won both the 1998 ALMA Award for Outstanding Feature Film and the 1998 IMAGEN award for Best Motion Picture.
