Falls Around Her | “Sisters are Sacred” Exhibit
The “Sisters are Sacred” exhibit will feature both traditional and contemporary art made by South Carolina’s Native American women, a Ribbon Skirt Exhibition, and an exhibit about Missing and Murdered Indigenous women and girls.
The event will feature a screening of the film Falls Around Her followed by a discussion panel with South Carolina’s Native American Women Leaders.
About Falls Around Her: Tantoo Cardinal shines as a world-famous Anishinaabe musician who returns to the reserve to rest and recharge—only to discover that fame (and the outside world) are not easily left behind, in writer-director Darlene Naponse’s riveting portrait of resilience set among a northern First Nation.

Presented in honor of Native American Heritage Month and in partnership with the South Carolina Indian Affairs Commission and the Indigenous Women’s Alliance of South Carolina.
